The Problem

Existing travel-planning tools are cluttered and reactive — travelers spend more time scrolling and reconciling bookings than actually planning. Lakatta reimagines the category around what travelers need, when they need it.

My Role & Impact

Owning every dimension solo: brand identity and logo, concept development, UX research, information architecture, visual design, and AI-assisted development using Claude Code, Claude Design, and Figma. The counterweight to the leadership story in the other three case studies — proof that the same judgment scales down to zero-team execution.

Metrics & Outcomes

Still early testing. What’s held up: the day view is simple to scan, with weather, transport cost, and directions all in one place instead of stitched together across separate apps for weather, maps, and bookings.

Navigating Roadblocks

A lot of time went into QAing AI-generated code, and the same bugs kept resurfacing. The fix wasn’t catching every regression by hand — it was building a dedicated QA agent in Claude and formalizing a design system, so the AI tooling had guardrails instead of just output to review.
