OVERVIEW
The WebMD Symptom Checker is an iconic tool worldwide. It's been over a decade since it was redesigned and it was time to give it a new look, make sure it was more accurate and improve its overall user experience.

MY ROLE
Partnered with the product, engineering and research. I conducted usability tests, competitive analysis, created wireframes, prototypes, delivered detailed designs specs, interaction notes and a pattern library. Presented findings and recommendations to the team as well as stakeholders and executives.

APPROACH
I took the lean ux approach which emphasized ideation, rapid sketching, prototyping, user feedback and design mockups — rinse and repeat as necessary. This created early team‐wide alignment, sparked tons of great ideas and created a strong sense of ownership across different disciplines.
